2027 BYD Seal 06 Interior Revealed: Design Evolves with LiDAR Addition

BYD has officially released interior images of the 2027 Seal 06, revealing significant design upgrades both inside and out. Positioned as a mid-size sedan, the new model continues to strengthen BYD’s leadership in the new-energy sedan segment.

Interior Design: Cleaner, Warmer, More Refined
The new cabin adopts a cleaner aesthetic, with black piano trim panels and integrated ambient lighting strips that enhance the sense of quality and nighttime ambiance. The instrument display has transitioned to an embedded design, blending seamlessly with the dashboard for a more cohesive visual effect. The center console island has also been reshaped with softer, rounder contours, creating a warmer and more inviting cabin atmosphere compared to the current model.

Exterior Evolution: Grille-Delete, New Headlights, and LiDAR Onboard
On the outside, the 2027 Seal 06 removes the front grille from the lower bumper, replacing it with a brand-new headlight design – darkened dual-lens LED units that deliver a bold, sporty look. Air ducts on both sides of the front bumper further optimize aerodynamic performance. The most notable addition is a roof-mounted LiDAR, signaling a major leap forward in the vehicle’s intelligent driving assistance capabilities.

Dimensions and Positioning
The new model measures 4,870mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,495mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820mm. Its fastback coupe-like silhouette strikes a balance between elegance and athleticism. At the rear, the signature Ocean Network family full-width wave-style taillights ensure strong brand recognition day and night.

Powertrain: 5th-Gen DM with Upgraded Motor Output
Under the hood, the new Seal 06 is powered by BYD’s 5th-generation DM plug-in hybrid system, featuring a 1.5L dedicated hybrid engine producing 74kW. Two electric motor options are available with peak outputs of 120kW and 240kW respectively – a notable upgrade over the current model. Electric-only range varies by configuration, offering 170km, 205km, and 230km (CLTC) to suit different daily commuting needs.
With comprehensive design refinements, the addition of LiDAR, and a more powerful drivetrain, the 2027 Seal 06 presents a significantly stronger value proposition. We’ll continue to follow and report on more details as they emerge.
